Sourcemaker Goes National!
Sourcemaker, the designer of the original Cube lighting balloon, has expanded its operations to the West Coast with its Burbank location. They have always believed in the theory that true innovation comes directly from the film crew on set and must be supported by people with the knowledge and experience in that capacity. After several months operating in the area, Sourcemaker has found the right person to head up operations.
Steve Brock has jumped on board with his experience in the field to help Sourcemaker get to the next level. He brings first hand knowledge of the industry as a member of local 728 IATSE and has over 20 years experience working through the ranks. He will have the understanding of the needs of the lighting crews along with the ability to work with production and budgeting. Steve will be assisted by Chris Petrotta who has experience in servicing rentals for both Bender Et and Sourcemaker.

Sourcemaker : Balloon Theory
"More Control, More Power, Less Helium"
Sourcemaker’s products are built using the best materials for quality and durability. Our balloons offer more power, while at the same time, maintaining a soft quality of light. The shadows cast are softer, which helps under windy conditions. The original Cube design was invented with aerodynamics in mind. Pointing one corner directly into the wind forms a controlled path for even distribution on the 2 sides facing the wind, much like flying a kite. Spheres and other rounded shapes do not provide a logical path and are likely to move more frequently. The Cube is still the leader in ambient light control with its internal reflector and innovative skirting system.
