Sourcemaker announces the addition of new G3 Lighting Balloons!

Each of the newest Generation3 (G3) Balloon Envelopes has been Electronically Sealed, the latest Sourcemaker innovation in balloon light technology. Every seam is now smaller and stitch-free giving G3 Envelopes a lighter weight and virtually seamless design. Sourcemaker offers "More output with less helium."

The newest addition to Sourcemaker’s G3 product line is an 8’ x 18’ G3 Tube which can be customized with either 15k or 18k hybrid. See the products page for more information.

Sourcemaker’s 6.5’ G3 Cube is the smallest hybrid on the market. Its 7.5k hybrid harness holds one 2.5k HMI and one 5k Tungsten bulb.

The Blackout Skirting System has also been improved with built-in Flop Down Blackout Skirts. Easily pull on the bottom of the Skirt to flop down an additional Blackout for downward directional control.

Sourcemaker continues to be the leader in Custom Balloon Lighting Systems. "If we do not already have what you need, we will build it. All of our balloons are built in the United States with American made materials."

    Sourcemaker Goes National!

Sourcemaker, the designer of the original Cube lighting balloon, has expanded its operations to the West Coast with its Burbank location. They have always believed in the theory that true innovation comes directly from the film crew on set and must be supported by people with the knowledge and experience in that capacity. After several months operating in the area, Sourcemaker has found the right person to head up operations.

Steve Brock has jumped on board with his experience in the field to help Sourcemaker get to the next level. He brings first hand knowledge of the industry as a member of local IATSE 728 and has over 20 years experience working through the ranks. He will have the understanding of the needs of the lighting crews along with the ability to work with production and budgeting. Steve will be assisted by Chris Petrotta who has experience in servicing rentals for both Bender ET and Sourcemaker.

    Sourcemaker: Balloon Theory

"More Control, More Power, Less Helium"

Sourcemaker’s products are built using the best materials for quality and durability. Our balloons offer more power, while at the same time, maintaining a soft quality of light. The shadows cast are softer, which helps under windy conditions. The original Cube design was invented with aerodynamics in mind. Pointing one corner directly into the wind forms a controlled path for even distribution on the 2 sides facing the wind, much like flying a kite. Spheres and other rounded shapes do not provide a logical path and are likely to move more frequently. The Cube is still the leader in ambient light control with its internal reflector and innovative skirting system.
